A children's home establishment can only accommodate a limited number of children. There was therefore a need for Pasture Valley to spread out of the home, thus the Caring for Shiselweni programme (CFS) was created. With the high number of deaths due to HIV/AIDS as well as other reasons, it was imperative that Shiselweni becomes the focal point for this programme, with hopes of spreading it across the country in the near future. There are a number of projects for this programme that fall under the CFS, all with an aim of ensuring that one leads a fulfilled and healthy life, with all their basic needs met
